アガサ・クリスティー（Agatha Christie, 1890-1976）
イギリス生まれの推理作家。1920年に30歳で作家デビューし85歳で亡くなるまで、長編小説66作、中短編小説156作、戯曲15作などを発表した。『アクロイド殺し』(The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, 1926)、『オリエント急行殺人事件』(Murder on the Orient Express, 1934)、『ABC殺人事件』(The ABC Murders, 1936)、『そして誰もいなくなった』(And Then There Were None, 1939) などは世界的ベストセラーになり、「ミステリーの女王」と呼ばれている。
